Introducing our team of fire safety experts
Alan Kurnatowski GIFireE
Our Director Alan Kurnatowski set up Peakland Fire Safety Ltd in 2005 following 31 years experience as an Operational Fire Brigade Officer, and as a Senior Fire Safety Manager in the Fire and Rescue Service. He was responsible for the management of one of the largest Fire Authority inspection teams in the UK. His expertise was recognised in his recent election to the National Fire Risk Assessment Council of the Fire Industry Association where he is also a member of the Professional Standards and Training Committees.
He has unrivalled experience in fire safety matters and an in depth knowledge and understanding of all the relevant codes and standards. He has special interests in the care industry, heritage buildings, retail and warehousing with satisfied clients across the UK.
Our team also includes our Senior Consultants, Ian Copstick and Julian Gawthorpe.
Ian Copstick
Ian Copstick has recently joined the team having retired as Divisional Commander within the Fire and Rescue Service. He brings with him 34 years operational, crisis management and fire safety experience. For a number of years he held the post of Brigade Training Officer. His wide portfolio of specialist skills include dealing with Hazardous Materials and Fire and Explosion Investigation.
Julian Gawthorpe
Julian Gawthorpe has been with our company since his retirement from the Fire and Rescue Service in 2006 with 32 years service. Julian was an Operational Fire Officer and an Area Fire Safety Officer. His friendly, supportive and helpful manner is welcomed by all our clients.
